BEACON PARTNERS PURCHASES LAND IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PARK FOR
SPECULATIVE BUILDING PROJECT
CONCORD, N.C., December 5, 2007—Charlotte-based commercial real
estate firm Beacon Partners has purchased land in the International
Business Park at Concord.
The firm, which develops land across North and South Carolina, closed
on 11 acres in Phase II of the Park. Beacon Partners plans to launch a
multi-building speculative development program that will compliment
three other projects the firm has under construction in the Charlotte
Region.
"We are very excited to be in Cabarrus County," said Jon Morris,
Industrial Partner at Beacon. "The International Business Park's close
proximity to Concord Regional Airport, Lowe's Motorspeedway, and the NC
Research Campus makes it the best location for a speculative building
program in Cabarrus County."
CB Richard Ellis brokered the deal. Beacon Partners purchased lots 10
and 11, which are immediately adjacent to the International Corporate
Center. The ICC was a speculative project in the Park that is now home
to Connextions, ESP Associates, Schubert & Salzer, and Lyf-tym. The
Nolim Group, the owners of the business park, intended for lots 10 and
11 to become speculative building sites when the ICC was built. The sale
to Beacon Partners confirms the Nolim Group's commitment to bringing
more product into Cabarrus County.
"Beacon Partners is one of the top developers in our region," said Anne
Johnson, Senior Vice President, CB Richard Ellis. "Their interest in
pursuing a speculative program in the International Business Park speaks
to the quality of the Park's location and the Park's high development
standards."
